Silent & Powerful Side-Thruster
The innovative side-thruster series from Copenhagen Subsea A/S is based on our silent, powerful and reliable rim-driven thruster technology. The electrical design of the thrusters holds only one moving part and has no gears. Furthermore, the bearings use the seawater for lubrication which leads to significantly reduced sound levels.
The propeller is 3D printed with a unique combination of two printing materials. The low inertia of the propeller and high motor torque results in fast response which provides high manoeuvrability and thereby improves the conditions while docking.
